Try a Macrobiotic Diet
Try a macrobiotic diet for weight loss and all-around good health. Hollywood stars have long recognized the value of eating a balanced and healthful diet, and they often practice it. How else do you think they keep their complexions glowing and their eyes sparkling? Well, sure, there's reconstructive surgery. But many celebrities keep their health and energy vibrant by eating what is known as a macrobiotic diet.

Who wants to stay healthy? Plenty of older celebrities who want to nurture their youthful inner energy and remain desirable to their audiences, as well as young actors and actresses who aren't yet concerned with the effects of aging. There is a very long-standing connection between Hollywood and healthy foods. Without their health, most celebrities would be out of a job.

The word macrobiotic is from the Greek, meaning long life. Some people consider it as a life philosophy. A macrobiotic diet includes whole grains, such as rice and quinoa, fresh vegetables and fruits, seaweeds, fermented foods such as soy, and it may even include fish or chicken. It is not necessarily a vegetarian diet, although some vegetarians eat macrobiotically. That is, they pay attention to the proportion of all of the above foods, and include whole grains, and several servings of vegetables and fruits in their diet every day.

Whenever possible, always buy organic vegetables. If you have a green thumb, try growing some vegetables yourself. The life force that is present in the produce at the grocery store cannot compare with the amount of energy and aliveness in a leaf of chard or lettuce cut from the plant growing in your own kitchen garden. Your body will thrive on these lively foods, especially because they aren't full of toxins that your system will have to process, cleanse, and eventually slough off. Many health-conscious eaters strive for a predominantly vegetarian or vegan diet because animal-based foods are often full of poisons, toxins and non-healthful substances that your body simply doesn't need to deal with.

Aim to give your body the highest quality foods. Try a macrobiotic diet and eat like a Hollywood star. You'll discover, as many stars and celebrities have, that good quality nutrition is the key to real beauty.
